“WONDERFUL” - This is by far the best tour on St Simons Island. Captain Rod is the best. He is full of information, about where to go and what to do on the island as well as full knowledge about the history of the island. He brings history to life.

“Ten Stars!” - Captain Rod is so personable and informative. We called first to ensure wheelchair accessibility since we couldn't see an example of that on the website and that was a factor in us choosing this tour. The William of Orange has an elevator lift that raises the wheelchair and occupant right into the bus. Special wheelchair tie-downs lock the wheelchair into place once loaded onto the bus. We were waiting when "William" pulled into the pickup spot and Captain Rod greeted us like old friends. He stood with us and shared extra tidbits of island info while the 1/2 hour loading time passed. If you want to take the 12 o'clock tour and you suddenly realize it's 12:15pm, no worries...there is a 1/2 hour loading time after the tour start time. So the trolley doesn't actually depart until 12:30pm. This outfit has been operating for less than one year (as of Dec 2013), but there is nothing "newbie" about them. Rod is very well informed and makes the history of the island come alive. I can't wait to go back to some of the spots he pointed out to us and explore on our own. As a matter of interest, when I first called Captain Rod, I also asked whether they accepted credit cards. They do. You will incur a very small credit card fee on one of your party's tickets ($3 as of Dec 2013). In other words, a party of four would have a credit card charge of $83 rather than $80 if paid in cash. Well worth the convenience though we were able to access our bank on-island and get cash for no ATM charge. Thank you Captain Rod for providing an activity that was friendly for all members of our family.

“First Stop On The Island” - We wanted to see the whole island so we could decide where we wanted to visit and eat while we were on the island for a few days. So this was our first stop when we arrived. This is the best way to see the island. They take you to all the highlighted posts and point out things and good resturants along the way. It's not that expensive $20 and you ride in air-conditioned comfort and you don't have to worry about parking either. Our tour guide was an amazing wealth of information. I highly recommend the Trolley

Captain Rod and Co-Pilot Rhonda were an absolute treat! - Amanda Yu and I had an awesome time aboard their Saint Simons Colonial Island Trolley Tours trolley. The trip was so informative and Captain Rod's delivery of knowledge and history was great. We would definitely recommend this version of touring over the other options based on them alone. Now, the trolley is air conditioned and is super comfortable. That's an added bonus. We will be back and we are going to book a trip with Captain Rod and Rhonda! Thank you for the wonderful time. We learned so much!

“What a great time!!” - Capt. Rod treated us to at least 90 minutes of history, great scenery, fun anecdotes and just a really welcoming tour of St Simon's Island. He truly loves the island and its history. He also must truly love his clients and the people who live on the island because we felt like we had a friend when we finished our tour. He is full of amazing facts and tells the story of the island and its people with a fun and also fascinating story. He doesn't just relay a rote story....he stops, turns around and makes you feel as though he is talking to you as a friend. We have done many wonderful tours in many cities as that helps us feel at home in a new place, but this tour is probably about the best we have done and more than worth the ticket price. Will repeat if when we go again just for the fun. Highly recommended ,,, tell Capt. Rod his Norman OKlahoma friends say hi!
