“Very interesting Tour with A Plus Tour Guide!!” - Capt. Rod was excellent and the trolley was very nice and clean. He could not have been more entertaining and all of my children 15,12 and 9) absolutely loved it. Capt. Rod is so personable, friendly and knowledgable about the island and its history, we were sorry to see it end. If you are heading to St. Simons this tour is a Must Do!

“Colonial Island Trolley Worth the Cost” - Although the trolley cost $20 per person, the tour was worth it. Our driver, Rod, knew the history of the island, as well as general history of the United States. He did a terrific job of both educating us and entertaining us, keeping the pace of the tour flowing well as we navigated the island. We enjoyed the many points of interest as we toured, especially the history of the First African Baptist Church and the Freed slave community. The avenue of the oaks were spectacular and Rod's history of The Battle of Bloody Marsh with General James Oglethorpe was riveting.

“Learning and Enjoyment Together” - I'm so pleased to be able to highly recommend Captain Rod and Saint Simons Colonial Island Trolley Tours. This was our first trolley tour and he's set the bar high. My mom, who doesn't get out so much these days, thoroughly enjoyed this adventure to Saint Simon. She raved and raved and we all loved learning as we went down the pathways of the island. He treats you like you are the first and only tour of the day, giving you his full interest and attention. It was money well spent and we look forward to coming again and bringing other friends. We are amazed with how he not only knows the info but can share it so easily without referring to a note. Beautiful job and we feel like we've made a new friend too. For me, it makes me want to read deeper into the stories he shared and I know for my daughter, college freshmen, it brings what she's learned to life in a real way. Definitely a thumbs up and I am so glad to have found him and thanks to the other Trip Advisor members for their reviews. We appreciated them and they led us to the best.
